I've always liked the idea of journaling, but most apps feel overly focused on productivity. I wanted something simpler, justa space to reflect, log my moods, and just write without overthinking it.
So I built Brief, a lightweight journaling platform where users can quickly jot down how they're feeling, write detailed entries, and revisit past reflections with ease. The app is designed to be clean and calming, helping users build self-awareness without feeling pressured to write a lot or follow a routine.
It's built with Next.js and React on the frontend, styled with Tailwind CSS for a minimalist UI. Firebase handles user authentication and real-time data storage, making sure journals are saved instantly and securely across sessions.
